The Cult of Felipito

Hi everyone, and welcome to my new blog.

This time, we should talk about the  own favourite Chilean TV personality. It’s complicated for me tos ay anyone, because, even if I watched a loto f Chilean TV, I never had a favorite one. But, if I had to say one, my first name in my mind is Felipe Camiroaga.

And why??? When I was a little one, and I woke up early in the morning, the first program I wacthed in TV, it was “Buenos días a Todos”, with him, Tonka Tomicic, “Pato” Frez, and other people who worked in production, and behind the camera.

He was a great televisor animator, and, when he animated the 50th versión of Viña del Mar festival, with Soledad Onetto, it was thought to be the apex of his career. But that was not so. A lot of program, like “Halcón y Camaleón” with Steffan Cramer, and others, they showed their talented and valiity.

All this ended September 2th, 2011, in a horrible accident, on a flight to Juan Fernández island. That day, a lot of lives were lost, including, Felipe Cubillos, Roberto Bruce, and others. Rest in peace.

I admire his figure, even until today, because he showed himself as a person who, despite having a favorable condition, was clear about his convictions and his conscience on important issues.
